New Battery Terminals / Distribution block
With recent big 3 upgrades and a large power wire running to the system in the back, my battery terminals are becoming overburdened. I feel like just upgrading the terminals would create a messy, semi-functional look. does anyone have any experience mounting a distribution block in the engine bay? I'm not sure where I would put it, as I'm looking for a rather large one. (Fused, 1/0 input, two 1/0 outputs and some 4g/8g outputs.)

I needed to replace the battery when I got my Blazer a few years back, I put in a deep cycle yellow top Optima with side and top posts. The side posts have only the original connections, the top posts handles extra grounds, and the + feeds a 0 gauge amp wire, 4 gauge alternator charge wire, and direct connection to dual electric fan relay harness. Have an open 4 gauge hole on the lugs on the battery still that'll go to a winch in the near future ;) |

How's that working out? I was thinking about doing that. I've replaced the ground wires with all 1/0 wire with a stupid Walmart side post battery and now I'm having ground problems . Doesn't make sense .
Fanatically. I did finally hook a winch up (via a 500 amp cut-off solenoid), ended up changing the top post configuration up some from the old setup and actually hooked the winch lead to a side post extender, hooked a 4 gauge wire directly from the alternator to the same post as well, but the setup has held up well. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...506_192703.jpg |
Cool. I think I'm gonna add back my stock ground wires along with my 1/0 wire, change to a lead top post adapter , and add a ground to the back of the alternator. At least till I can come up with 270 bucks for the Optima. I'm probably gonna have to upgrade the alternator too. I'm running all HIDs including fog lights , underbody led kit, and a 1400 watt stereo system . Mine originally came with a 105 amp alt, I've upgraded to a 130 amp, but that doesn't seem to be enough.

Do some searching on the AD244 upgrade. Easy 145amp bolt on with stock parts and well worth it upgrade. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...510_202754.jpg |
