What is the general consensus on ported subs?

hell of a lot more boom, but if you have too much power running through them, will pop them pretty quick. ALso, make sure that you have a good size box for what you are getting, and have it tuned correctly. if you give me all the specs on the subs, I can punch them into the program and give you dimensions, and port size.

hillbilly can u do that for me? its 6 Kicker Comp VR's 12" 300 rms and 600 Max. dont know requirements on air space sry.

how big a box are you willing to do xblazer? 6 12s are going to need at least 10 cubes about, which your going to lose all or some of your rearview

I dont mind a wall. the design I was looking for is kinda like this one:

Only with a flat section to mount the amp in the center.
