I have a 98 blazer and the radio doesnt like when i hit bumps and shuts off sometimes i can open the door while driving and it will come back on untill i shut the door. its clearly a short of some sort but where should i start with out ripping out my entire dash?
this is a factory deck

also want to take out the cassette deck and keep the tray does any one have any good ideas for mods for this?

Check your fuse box to see if you have any melted fuses. You might just have a faulty fuse that wants to work when it wants to.
