radio problems
 

I know prolly been asked million times but i have a 99 blazer ls 4wd with the casset in floor console. i just got this from a neighbor that passed away and someone cut wiring harness and the cd player that was in it was only hooked to 1 front speaker, after trying to determine off wiring diagrams the front 2 speakers only work but now my dash lights dont work, Also after everything hooked up to what i think is right i end up having 3 or 4 extra wires, any ideas? i didnt know if the extra wires was to tape deck cus its no longer there. Basically its a big ass headache. should i buy a harness and try to hook up from there?

I have a 99 with a remote cassette player and I happen to have scanned the schematics for that system. I'm attaching them here.
