Remote wire/s
 

I have 2 amps, an Audio Control line driver, and deck that all need remote wire attatched to them. Is there a recomended way of hooking them up? Can I just splice the factory remote wire behind the deck and run all 4 from that one? Thanks for your help.

i would suggest using a relay like diagramed on this page

the connecting multiple devices to one turn on wire. you can use the (if factory radio) to the yellow wire behind radio. if aftermarket, use the blue/ blue with white stripe.

you will be fine sharing the remote of the deck, i do it with two amps with no troubles.

wow, you really dont know what you are talking about. Its very easy to blw the remote output of a readio with too much current draw.

To OP, go to the parts store and tell them you need a 30 or 40 amp SPDT relay with harness.

the different pins on the relay are specific, and it will be clear which is which on the relay itself.

for the 12v constant (pin 87) just either run a line to the battery, or tap into your 12v constant in ignition harness or the fuse panel (pm me for more indepth details on this)

pin 85 goes to ground, can use the ground on your HU for this. the rest is self esplanatory!

I just made sure that my amps draw on the remote line was less than the rating on the deck...

My Alpine CDA-9827 ran two amps and a fan with no problems at all.

It'll depend on your deck if that'll work or not... The best way is like hillbilly says, and use the relay approach, that way you don't have to worry at all.

Some amps have a higher remote draw than others, so using the deck remote can be iffy for more than one or two amps...
