S10 '88 standard to DIN ?

Hello, maybe I could find the answer after a lot of browsing / searching ... I am from Belgium so English is not my native language and I still might interpret something wrong.

I have an Blazer S10 Sport from '88 and I have a DIN radio, chopped in the original dash that sticks out because in the back it touches a duct from the ventilation I think.

Can this be solved with an aftermarket kit I can buy on Ebay ? So the DIN radio just fits in and does not look like it's thrown in the dash ? See photo.

Pointing me to the right kit on Ebay, in a shop that wants to ship to my country would be greatly appreciated. I can't stand the way it looks now.

See the link below.

No matter what the stereo will stick out from the factory dash due to the shallow mounting depth.

also with that kit ? No real use in buying it in that case ?

The only way I know of to have a flush install would be to cut into the vent or buy a radio that has a shallow mounting depth. Pioneer used to make a 1.5 DIN radio for GM Cars. You can still buy them on ebay. That is what I have in my 89 S15 Jimmy.

You can cut the duct behind the radio and use that aluminum duct tape to put over the hole that you cut to get it to flush mount.

I zoomed in on your picture and it really does look like some one butchered the install
A closer picture would be better
The proper install kit will definitely help and like Rich said , if you need more depth cut into the vent and seal back up with aluminum duct tape

butchered is the right word for it ...

Anyway, thank you for the help so far. So I can safely remove some of the vents plastic in the back ?

And that Pioneer radio, is that less deep ? Can't seem to find the depth of it. And I need it to play FM, not sure we use the same frequencies here in Europe ? From +/- 89Mhz to 108Mhz is used here for commercial radio as far as I can tell.

I like your first option better
It will be more rigid in my opinion

it will still stick out with the install kit, but will look much cleaner. and yes that is the same frequency range we use in the US.
