Side Post/Top Post Adapters

Starting on my 03 build in a couple weeks. 2 CT Sounds 1400.1 on a pair of 15" Sundown Z.v3s. I have a 2 runs of 1/0 cable I need to run from front to back but I still have my stock battery which is side post. Where did anyone get their top post adapters because I doubt i'll be able to get 2 runs of 1/0 on the side post. I BARELY got the 4 gauge run on there for my mids/highs.

Napa sells adapters of several different types
they have extender style as well that can make use of the side terminals

Cool, thanks.

That is absolutely accurate. However I really need to stress that running ~3kw of power on stock electrical isn't the best idea.

You're planning on building quite a fantastic system, you shouldn't skimp on supplying the power it needs.

While there are all kinds of side post adapters out there for hooking accessories up to the side post batteries it's considerably easier to drop a battery in that has both top and side posts. Then simply leave the factory side posts on the side of the battery and connect everything else to the top posts.

Just do like I did, get an Optima with side and top posts lol I use the side posts for the factory battery terminals, then my top posts have distribution terminals on them for my stereo, dual electric fans, and big 3 wire upgrade ;)

Look into the AD-244 alternator upgrade while you're at it. Quick and easy way to get a 145a alternator with little modification. And by modification I mean just putting a little longer serpentine belt on it lol

so i have an 04 blazer all stock. this belt you talk of. so far in every thread that i have read and im sure there are way more. no one mentions belt part number to get. and well you have a 50/50 chance of the part store guy knowing anything on how to figure out what is a 1 inch longer belt then stock.

So bring your stock one in and compare it to what the parts guy says is 1" longer.

And you would probably get more answers if you started a new thread, rather than resurrecting this ancient one.
