Audio/Video ElectronicsWired up? If you have some sort of A/V modification let's hear about it here. Discussion of stock electrical problems should be done in the 'Lighting & Electrical' section.
I'm trying to track down a set of new speakers for the front doors on my 2-door 2002 Blazer. I got these from Amazon trusting when it says "this product fits your 2002 Chevy Blazer."
These 6.5 inch speakers do not fit inside the blue housing that mounts onto the door. So, I'm trying to find a set that does. Any suggestions? I'll go for almost anything. I'm looking a quality pair under $100.
The below photos show the OEM speaker, and then the new BOSS audio speaker.
Looking up specs on what size speaker fits, I'm a little confused. I see 6"1/2 and 6"3/4 mentioned, but based on what I got here, I'd say I need 6"1/4 to fit this blue housing.
I might have had to drill some holes, can't remember but it was not a big deal. I think if you order from Crutchfield they include a stub that makes the electric connection simpler.
I put a pair of Kenwoos KFC 1666s in mine https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah I figured a few holes would have to be drilled.
I ordered these JBL speakers off Amazon because they came with different kinds of mounting hardware.
I drilled holes to mount the bracket to the blue housing, then I screwed the speaker onto the bracket.
I'm very satisfied with the audio quality of these.
For the 6x9 rears I wanted to get the matching Kenwoods that Amazon said would fit my 2002 Blazer. But crutchfield said no they would not fit and recommended the Panasonic TS-G690. I went with Crutchfield and the fit was perfect, an exact match for the stock speakers.
