Temp display in 00 Blazer

My temperature display in my overhead console hasn't been accurate since I bought the truck. Lately it's completely off. It registers very low, like 14* on an 80* day. Any way to fix?

If that doesn't work (or if it's set correctly), you may have to replace your exterior temperature sensor. It is located behind the grill / in front of the radiator/condenser and is clipped to the vertical hood latch support.

First I would atleast remove the sensor and check the connection. If it's corroded, that could definitely throw off your readings. I believe that the sensor itself isn't much more than $20 from the dealership. If you have automatic climate control, this poor reading may throw your HVAC system for a loop. This sensor gets used by the climate control to figure how aggressive it needs to be with heating/cooling.

Thanks guys. No, it's definetely not on Metric. I do have computer climate control, but I don't use it (I think the wife does). I have a Gentex temp/compass mirror in my 95 Caprice and it's doing the same thing, so I think I have a bad sensor.
