yeah... its an audio thread. Screwed92 and i were helping a lot over the winter when no one was really around but... we have a few more bassheads now so.
i understand more cone area. i also understand SPL and what not. I just know i have very limited roof flex with 1000 watts true rms pumping through my system

I wasn't trying to "diss" anybody, stating the obvious. 2 15's will do more damage than a single 12..

Sub power matters, subs quality matters, I was semi into audio back in high school, and am now getting back in thanks to one MTopper.....
I think that 10's and 8's sound the best, but then again, I dont care too much for sloppy bass....
Given unlimited funds, I am sure I could make a 12 to beat two 15s (assuming both people had said unlimited funds)

Why do you think 10's and 8's sound the best? it's quality of the driver, an 18 can sound just as good if its built for a purpose. You cant tell me you can tell the size of a driver by listening to it and not seeing it.
sloppy bass is a pretty wide term, have you listened to a properly built ported setup? I may have two 15s, but it's also tuned very low (28hz). the setup was not built for SPL, it was built to get decently loud but still play music very well, and it does just that.
I realize sub power, quality and what not matter, I'm not saying 2 15's will always beat a single 12. Blazers are easy to get loud in, and extremely easy to flex..
this is back when I ran 1 15, off 300wrms.. no deadener, but it still flexed a bit for only running 300w. theres some vids of the 2 15s on there too, one with no deadener, the rest with. None are very good, though

before we get into a fight of who's who and whats what... (not saying it'll necessarily happen) we should just get back to the discussion of roof flex and car audio in general. in fact... why don't we just get a thread tagged by an admin to have a constant talk over products and such? anyone think its a good/bad idea?

Roof flex is the pressure of the air (the sound) pushing on the roof and then reflecting back as if off a trampoline.... Well arent soundwaves better reflected without the flex/ Trampoline like effect?
I was interested in Acoustical Engineering in High School but Bradley doesn't offer it....
All of this stuff is awesome....
