never understood why people are so infatuated with large woofers.

there are plenty of 15"s in comp SQ. I ran an IB 15" for a while. I actually kind of miss it. But it didnt weigh 75 lbs like this thing probably does. Im talking about all woofers that weigh so much that by the time you are done with the enclosure and everything else you need to add to get the beast of a heavy sub to run properly, you need a new suspension also. This includes 12"s that weigh 50lbs.

blazinloud 06-17-2009 02:11 PM

well, if you read the description on the sub, it would probably answer all your questions, including the weight. reading ftw!

bobditts 06-17-2009 05:18 PM

ok, it weighs 56lbs. Thats still freaking heavy. add in the weight of a solid, properly built enclosure, plus the amp/s required, plus the big wiring and another battery of 4 - your car is going to sag.

i guess it depends what you drive, and how bad the leaf springs are worn. but still, who really cares if it does. not everyone wants to run some cheesy cvr's.
