RE: Weird voltage dips

from what i hear u can damage ur electircal system if u dont have a capacitor on a large system now i know u dont like caps but they do make it so that u dont have any voltage spikes just somthing to consider if u care to know what ive heard

im sorry, but judgeing by my studies of automotive electrical and chargeing systems, there is no validity in that statement.

I would replace your altenator with a high output i did this in my cavalier when i had a system in this i had the same problem when my system was running and any of my lights my voltage would read 11.0 but with everything off it ran about 14-15 and i went through an altenator and i replaced it with a high output then i didnt get dips anymore just my opinion

the BIG 3 is:

1. positive wire from alt to battery
2. ground wire from battery to ground somewhere in engine bay
3. ground wire from ground in engine bay to block

if this is upgraded, it allows for quicker recharging and a more level electrical system. sometimes you dont need to do anything but this in order to get rid of lights dimming.
