What kind of amp do I need?

I got a couple 10" Kenwoods that I found on Craiglist. I have no idea of the watts rating but I have found similar ones with a rms rating of 300w. I have a cheap amp in there now but can only hey 1 sub working. Would I need a 600 watt 2 channel to run them both? Thanks.

did they already come in a box all wired up?

Yes they did. Would you like me to take one out and see how they are wired?

no, if they are already in a box you can assume they are already wired in parallel.

i would take them both out and make sure nothing is loose, that could be why only one is working.

the amp should be fine to push them

and if the wiring is all good i would replace the speaker wire.

also push lightly on the non working speakers cone and see if you feel and "grinding" or rough spots. as that can sometimes show that the voice coil has some issues.

also check the terminals with a multimeter set on Ohms and if you dont get anything its a bad speaker.

yea I would take them both out and make sure all the wires are hooked up. never trust the wiring on someone on craigslist haha
