What is the peak frequency...

Hello, I have a 2001 s10 blazer 4 door and i was trying to find out where my blazer peak frequency is at. I'd do this on my own, but have no access to a term lab. i'd also like to know if any of ya know the peak frequency for a trailblazer. thanks

All vehicles will be different, even the same models will vary slightly. You don't need a termlab to determine the vehicles peak frequency though. A regular $30 handheld decibel meter will do fine for that task. A dB meter, a test tone CD and a little time and you'll quickly have the peak frequency of the vehicle. Or if you're not mathematically challenged there's some complicated formula's out there that can figure the peak frequency and the best wavelength to tune for.

Will a db meter from an app from a smart phone do the trick? From what i know i just need to have a few test tones likes sweeps and such and throw the subwoofer in a sealed enclosure and go from there... somone correct me if i'm wrong.
