Scosche GM05B, wire colors don't appear to line up correctly..
2002 Blazer 4-Wheel , 4 Door. Radio RPO's CTF , UP0
Got a Scosche GM05B harness.
The connector fits and pins line up. But not sure they line up correctly.
On this harness there is an Orange Illum wire and an Orange with White stripe Illum wire.
Neither of these 2 Illum wires line up with a gray wire at the factory connector,.
I ran out of time to check any other connections.
Any one ever run into this? I figure either the harness is wrong , or the factory connector is wrong , or the schematic is wrong.

I've noticed several variants of the wiring on these GM radio plugs... Working in a junk yard, I've pulled several off of various wrecked GM vehicles with aftermarket radios and had to re-pin them to make them work in the Blazer. Mildly annoying, but still usable, so long as you know the pinout of the harness in the dash of the Blazer. I have one extra plug in my wiring stash-box that I know is pinned correctly that I refer to when I'm trying to wire up a radio, but it's been so long since I've swapped radios now that I have no idea where it is... I use to swap radios like socks lol
FYI, about the two illumination wires. Typically one wire (orang/white) is a 12+ when the running/dash lights are turned on and that triggers the the buttons light up and the display to dim slightly on the factory radio; usually just dims ALL the lights on an aftermarket radio since most have the buttons and display lit up constantly - this is the one you want to use with an aftermarket radio. The other dimmer wire (orange) is the ground for the circuit that is actually variable and runs through the dimmer circuit by the light switch; this is used on the factory radio to dim the button lights with the rest of the dash/cluster lights; I have YET to see an aftermarket radio use this, yet companies that make the aftermarket radio adapter harness continue to put the wire there...

Phew , finally had time to look..The Holidays are hectic round here..
On my '02 Blazer , my headlight wire at the harness is violet w\stripe..Which lines up to the orange wire on the interface harness.
And with ign on there is 12 volt accessory voltage there going to the red wire, so that separate red wire included with the harness won't be needed.
Now just solder plug and play.
Maybe someone needs to update the sticky to include the violet w\ white stripe wire..
Anyways , Happy Holidays Ya'll...Bout to go hit the Christmas crowds... Lord help me...

Well so much for that...Wiggle the faceplate on this old Alpine and the radio turns off. Started doing this in a Jeep I had , just didn't know if it was a loose connection or the stereo at that time. Never got the chance to find out before the Jeep got totaled.
So now I now it's time for a new stereo. I see a Kenwood in my future.
