Wires, wires everywhere

So i went to Sears to get a new battery because i was pretty sure mine was dead, or dying. the Sears guys were surprisingly honest and helpful by saying my battery looked brand new and held perfect charge and that it may be the wiring for my nav. fog lights, so today i decided i would redo the wiring and while i was at it make a distributer to add future devices onto, pics related. firstly ,is it safe to have a slab of ply wood like that on the far side of the air intake next to the fuse box, and also suggestions for how to mount 4 lights onto the roof, best routes, wiring tech, ect.

First place to start is get rid of that wood!! Unless you really just want to burn your truck up I dunno??? Go to the hardware store and get yourself a piece of thin steel sheet with a bit of strength (doesn't have to be crazy thick just something that will bend and stay bent and not bounce or flap around) and make yourself a a nice mount:). Check out my build thread and see how I did mine it took a whopping 10 minutes to accomplish and works and looks great IMO. Make sure that any wire you add to your truck for any reason has a fuse as close to the battery as possible incase anything shorts out it will blow the fuse rather than continuing to arc and light your truck on fire! If you are going to be adding lights use relays when you wire them. As for routing there's lots of ways to run the wires just make sure you protect them from sharp edges where needed. I ran all my wires through the fire wall and into the cab. I ran the roof lights the same way and up the door pillar, removed the factory rack, drilled a hole under its foot, installed a grommet, and ran the wires out just inside the foot of my roof rack there's also pics of this in my build thread. If you have any questions ask away.
