Future of this $100 blazer
5.7 vortec v8 mild cam (towing power and power for larger tires) 6" suspension lift (larger tires and a little more off-road capable) 2" body lift (for extra clearance for 35"s and for a little extra room under the hood) 4.56:1 axle gears (return the power band to a more comfortable spot to help with "passing gear" and make it so I don't have to put in low range to take off) Custom winch bumpers front and rear (never know where you'll get stuck or your buddy will get stuck) 35x12.50-15 rapped around a set of 15x8 ultra 50/51 black wheels ( why not ! ) Alpine stereo (head unit, speakers) Pair of 12" subs and either a 760w or 1000w amp idk yet depends which sounds better in my eagle as this is a side project Brush guard with headlight grilles Lighted roof visor Custom tail light guards So yeah a lot of work ahead if I missed something I'll repost it |
Are you doing an SAS? I don't think you will find 4:56s for the stock axle diffs but I could be wrong. Not to mention a v8 with big tires will be breaking your cv's constantly.

I would rather stick with ifs even considered building portal boxes for front and rear ... As for 4.56:1 gears I've found them on 2 different websites including summit.... I'm not to concerned for my cvs at this time as I haven't been hard core off-roading in 5 years lol but I do mild trails with my car (1982 Amc eagle wagon) I more need this thing to tow it but off and mild off roading when I want to go camping
