Most the ones I've used are 3mm, as that's the only size they came in. I don't see any difference between those 2 really, so either would work.

Finally got around to removing the rear end yesterday on my newest project. Leaf spring bolts were a little seized. A new 7" angle grinder is in my future! I bought a rear end a couple weeks ago, but decided not to use it in this truck. It's an 8.5" (open, boo) disc rear, that I will eventually have a posi installed and put into the v8 jimmy. Still trying to find a new rear to toss in this one. Pulled off a few parts to powder coat this week as well (why not right?). This truck is the first I've ran across that has a factory steering stabilizer! Installed a newer steering wheel that I had laying around.

Oh ya no rack! Plus the sunroof is kinda nice. Just need to make it not leak! Gotta get it running first though. I'll worry about the little stuff after.

Well I drove my v8 blazer for the first time today! Went about 20' out of the storage tent and gave it a quick rinse off. Then another 20' back into the tent. Gotta start somewhere I guess. Hopefully my order from summit arrives this week. Can't buy caliper repair/rebuilt kits locally anymore. So a few more parts and pieces then I can start putting the disc rear end back together. Pics next time!
