Cool 02 Xtreme V8 conversion

Hi guys, newbie to the site. I need advice on my build. I am building 02 Xtreme V8, 383 stroker and would like to use the stock transmission, with upgrades of course. Question is, what signals are needed for the computer to read to tell the trans what to do. Does it read from a TPS or speed sensor. Or is it even possible to use the stock transmission, 4l60e I'm assuming. Any suggestions, speaking from experience, learned the hard way, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Welcome! Sounds like a fun build. What year engine are you using? Carb or injected?

Someone smarter than me will have to help but I think there are stand alone trans controllers. Another option is to go with a non electronic trans.
