That winch mount is pretty serious.

I was just in Florida! Wish I didn't have to come home... damn beautiful weather
|
Covered the rest of the winch mount in primer today, will probably be a few days before I can put some black coats on it with the weather coming up...
For the time being I put some edging on the opening I cut into the bumper and threw it back on the truck so the front end doesn't look quite as naked lol http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...205_164145.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...205_170934.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...205_170927.jpg |

My bumper was wide open to it and I got a plate welded on to cover it up took me a week and I was worried the whole time driving that some idiot was gonna hit it with a rock

Thaat bumper is going to be looking sweeet with the winch/mount in that notch.

Do you have a body lift? I ask as I'm trying work out the geometry of how to install a hidden front receiver hitch that would extend through where the licence plate would be. I want to be able to use a hitch mounted winch on the front or back but not have it installed permanently.
I found this write up of what I want to do but this truck has a 2" body lift: Front & Rear Hitches https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...7487f2a71a.jpg |

BTW, thanks for the great write-up on your build. It is really useful.
