1975 blazer fuel sender wiring

So I just got my dads 75 blazer that he restored . Like with all there restores there are bugs to work out . The fuel gauge is inop . The wire to the send is missing . I cant find it . Now the tailight wiring going from front to back only has 4 wires and those are for the lights which all work . My question is where does the fuel sender wire come from ? How is it routed to the back ? Is it thru the body . I think its a tan wire . Anyhow any information anyone would have would be greatly appreciated . The 75 shop manual doesnt show fuel sender wiring . I just ordered a chilton book . Also whats the best source for a complete wiring schematic for this ? I am a master auto technician for a ford dealer . I am so used to more complex systems but also having the resources as far as wiring routing connector locations and numbers . Thanks alot people

How hard would it be to just run your own wire?

I have no problem running a new wire . Just trying to not hack it up or make it look crappy . Also until I get the schematics for it I need to know where to run it to . Over the years the wire colors are a tad harder to tell the proper wires . I dont want to just start poking and proding wires . Its a very clean unmolested truck and I want to keep it that way .

Good point. I wish I knew more about K5 blazers. I had a friend with a couple of them and I always thought they were pretty cool.

on my 80s trucks its a pink wire that comes out of the bottom of the fuse box connection under the hood, so basically where all the wires attach to go inside the cab there was a pink wire coming out he bottom of that that wrapped down and followed the frame back.

though this might be different do the age difference
