1984 S-10 Blazer 4x4 V8 Swap

2 Attachment(s)
I have an 1984 S-10 Blazer 4x4, with the 2.8 V6 and 700R4 column shifted automatic.
In the next few weeks I plan on swapping in a 350 chevy small block crate motor, but I wanted to get some advice from some people with more experience than myself.

So here is where I need some help. Will my 700R4 transmission bolt up to the small block fine, or do I need to salvage a different bell housing?
Also, my biggest concern in that this kit claims to only work with floor mount automatics, due to drain plug clearance. Is there any way around this, or should I be looking at a different kit. Do you guys recommend a kit that would work out better? It also should be mentioned, that a 5-speed swap is something I would like to do in the future.

i dont think the 700r4 was put behind the 2.8. the 2.8 have a different shaped bell housing then the small block chevy so no it wont work.

i ended up just putting a floor mounted hurst shifter in mine when i did the swap, it was a manual so i had no column shifter anyways
