1993 S15 jimmy "build"

I quoted build, because its really not a build. but I thought i would make a post to put what I am doing to it in here.
I am keeping it stock, The few things I have to do to it to make it "complete" in my eyes is (these are the things that will come when its more nice out, since I live in MN) Fix the rust above the windshield, rust on bumpers, small bit of rust on the rockers behind the front wheels, and small bit of rust behind the rear wheels.
I am also going to clean up and paint the 5 hole aluminum 4x4 wheels, and build a set of LED tail lights
The tail lights will happen before anything else since the parts for that are on their way. (thanks to Giovanni and Jason for the help on that)

Sorry that I disappointed everyone coming in here expecting to see something and only me typing.

Looks good without the spare tire and the rack. I'm gonna have to do that to mine eventually. Same with the spoiler. Your rims look great. Did you get them redone? Mine are chipping away

Thanks! the previous owner removed the tire rack, he did a terrible job on filling the holes, so that is on the list as well to fix properly.
As for the rims, I have not repainted them yet. The photos are doing them pretty good justice, and they are chipped away real bad.
I was going to get them dipped, but I have pretty good knowledge and like to paint, So I think I will just go that route.

Lucky. I don't have any knowledge of painting so I might have them redone, if I can figure out a place that can. Looks better than mine though so you're off to a good start. haha

Taking a small road trip (about 230 miles round trip) to get some extra tail lights to cut up for the LED retro fit, and he also has the screw covers for the air dam on the rear glass that the truck has been missing since I got it, and a couple center caps for the wheels (missing one since I got it as well) So I will have an extra of both, for 40 bucks. Cant go wrong there. Then it will really be complete.

road trip went well, got everything i needed. Here is how the retrofit is going sofar
test fit of one part of the circuit board

and starting to solder the series

Wow, soldering those seems like it'll be a royal PITA!

richphotos 03-08-2012 05:53 PM

Its not too bad, but i have been messing with soldering on simple electronics since about 9th grade. This is just very tedious LOL
