Did you see this '94 that sold at the Mecum auction in Kissimmee, Florida for $10,450? There must be a couple guys out there who appreciate these trucks.

So I finally got around to working on another one of the Blazer projects I've had sitting around a while.
Over a year ago I bought a complete set of rear doors, just for the tiny window trim piece. They were hard to find and I didn't want to lose them, so I never installed them on my Blazer. Just finally sat down and re-created them using tinkercad, then 3d printed them. Took a couple versions to get them where I wanted, but all finished and installed now. IMO they turned out pretty well. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...7cc80ddca5.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...cb637bbb9c.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...caa31e0a52.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...e80b87d123.jpg I made a video about the process as well. . . Forgot to record the first part of designing them, but I talked about how I did it, and show more details when I started making revisions. Now that I've got the design finished, I've got them listed on eBay for any other 1st gen 4 door guys out there that need a set. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124695637738 |
Hey guys been a while. Seems like a good time to post. . .sitting here waiting for AAA after my Radiator drain plug just blew out.
Good news is the engine seems to be fine. Bad news is I get to buy another new Rad. Oddly enough I was on my way home from the Pick n' Pull yard. Found a 93 s10 with a manual so I just went and yanked the clutch/brake pedal assembly, shifter, and a couple interior parts. The 4L60 has been acting up more and I have decided I'm done with it. So stay tuned because I'm going to be swapping it for an NV3500. Today was my first round of collecting parts. Will probably start a new thread when I get started with the work on the swap. Shifter and Pedals down. Now I just need an NV3500, clutch, flywheel, pilot bearing, and hydraulics. Planning to use the internal slave on the NV. Edit: Here are some pics from today. Also, I did get a new all aluminium radiator, complete with a shroud and new fans ordered. Hopefully that will be here in a few days. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...e1dacb6eb7.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...e648a7fb82.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...6d94e0e919.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...80427814e8.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...2a3f9be5a3.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...186eb776d5.jpg |
I finally got around to putting together the Blazer update video I've been working on for a year.
Part 1: Currently working on a Part 2 with the new aluminum rad and a few other things. |
Sanded and Repainted my Roof Rack. Been wanting to do this forever. It was pretty much the most weathered looking thing on the outside of my Blazer.
I also made a video about beginning my NV3500 swap, I guess I should probably just start a new thread for that project once I get into it a little further. |
Still trying to finish cleaning out my garage enough to get the blazer in for the NV3500 swap. Keep getting side tracked with other projects.
Started the Blazer today after sitting for 3 weeks. . . barely touched the key and it fired right up. Frustrating to not really be able to drive it because of the 4l60 though. Here's a few pics from today. . . as you can see one of the projects has been Big Brother OBS Suburban. The current Family Truckster. The Yakima Roof box on the Blazer came with the Suburban, put it up there during the last hurricane. It might end up staying semi-permanently. The extra storage space could be useful. We'll see, either way it obviously has to come off to fit in the garage for the trans swap. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...db1864a46c.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...45700e0d3c.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...189c64538b.jpg |
