Someone recommended that I throw my thread up here. Hope you guys enjoy.

Just figured Id throw a thread up here for my Jimmy project that Ive been working on. My friend originally bought this thing and did an SAS on it. He never got a chance to finish it or wheel it before selling it to me. Since, Ive blown up the 4.3 and started finishing up some other things on it. I am now neck deep in a V8 swap and will be throwing a Dana 60 up front. Got new 39.5" Super Swamper Iroks and new Trailworth Fab H1 12 bolt wheels recentered to 3.5" BS with rock rings.
I have quite a bit going on, on this project. Ill just kinda get this post up to date to where I am currently. Then, Ill continue as I finish my V8 swap and start on the rest of the project.

So, basically, this is where I am currently at. I work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. And I am currently at work. So, I am just now buying parts and planning my next moves. When I get home, Ill be putting the engine, trans, and t case back together. Ill be using an NP241 out an 89 K3500 and an 88 Ford high pinion/king pin Dana 60 for up front. Then its on to the wiring of my Painless switch panel and electirc fans and electric fanned B&M trans cooler. I am using a fully built THM400.

I am using a Quick Fuel Technologies regulator with one input and two outputs. I will reroute the one output to the return with a second low level regulator.

The carb I am using is a Holley Truck Avenger 670, just a regular dual plane Edelbrock intake with a Mr. Gasket 4 hole 1 inch spacer for low end TQ and power. My distributor is currently an Accel Pro Billet with a Power Cap. Using Taylor 8.8mm silicone wires and Accel shorty plugs.

Motor is a GMPP block and heads with Scat rotating assembly and I wish I could remember my cam specs, but its a Comp. Pete Jackson gear to gear timing set for durability and fun sound (lol). I will be running a snorkel out the side with a custom built can and filter setup. I will be maintaining my interior power and some gages. I have my own gages for everything else. Ill update as I go.

Got most my lines made and installed. All Northern Fluid Power. Best guys around in my book. I have a lot of AN fittings now. Swapped from a 98 Jimmy fuel filter with a push lock, to an 88 TBI double bump fitting style filter and ran hose right off the stock location. Used the push lock for the return line. Return comes off the regulator after stepping down. I'll throw a second turn dial regulator on the return to further dial in carb pressure.
Gus helped me out and sold me a serpentine setup off a 91 TBI truck. I have all new water pump, steering pump, and alternator.
My transmission cooler will be mounted to the underside of my hood with a vent. It's literally the only place it's going to fit. My exhaust, shifter cable and drive shift on the driver side is going to be epically close. Not sure how that's all going to work out yet. And I am almost thinking the ear on the corner of my bell housing is going to.habe to come off (pass side) for my exhaust to clear.
Had to notch the transmission cross member to fit the new process 241.

Well, the motor is nearly done. Just have converter bolts, and cooling, and some wiring left. I finished the fuel system and the power steering lines.

I finished the serpentine system. Had to rob an idler pulley off the Vortec. But it was too big and the bolt was too small. I went and got a V8 one, but it didn't come with hardware. So I found a bolt that was correct and milled out the collar and washer from the old pulley.

I ended up cutting the ear off the bellhousing of the tranny. Made more room for the exhaust. I will need two 90 degree AN push locks for the tranny lines. I need the lines to run up the top of the transmission. There is nowhere else for them to go. Since the exhaust comes down right where the lines would go now. I think I spent 400 bucks on fluid lines and AN fittings lol. It's paying off though. And they will take the abuse I'm going to put them through.

The two last big ticket items I have left are exhaust and drive shafts. The rear needs to be shortened all of 2 or 3 inches. And the front needs to be completely made. It will contain an IFS flange output into a CV into a slipper then finally the D44 yoke end.

Still need to figure out how I'm going to do the shift cable and t case shifter along with drive shaft and exhaust all in the same space lol.

Need to wore up the Painless switch panel. Will be starter, fans, fuel pump, and volt guage.

Then it's on to resembling the core support and figuring out my cooling. Hope you guys are enjoying this. There's been a couple moments of "eff this". But I've had a couple good people around to keep it in check lol.

RCVs will hopefully be here next week. Then it's to Jones for the shafts and the exhaust shop. I already have my ball flanges and a 50 series Flowmaster. Screw the haters. I still like a Flowmaster.
