Default 2000 Blazer LS 4.3

Hello! I got this Blazer from a family member, This car has been in the family since about 2013. Shes got 182,000 miles and still going strong. Only major issues have been the cruise control going out and 4x4 gears getting stripped. As of now shes got no issues and she runs strong. I’ve had this since December and just fixed the 4x4 with the help of some people on this site. The Iowa rust has beaten the hell out of this car. I just did a little redneck fixing to sort of “fix” the rust.

This is what she looks like right now

The car has been through a lot. Its hit a lot of things and been hit by a lot of things. On the rear passenger side my brother backed it into a light pole. On the rear drivers side a drunk driver came and side swiped it, and a rock chipped the windsheild and now it is fully cracked. I have done a lot too it but i still have more to do.
Heres my to-do list
•Powder Coat Rims
•New Tires
•Windsheild
•Bug sheild
•European Blazer Tail lights
•Rear Wiper Motor
•Deal with rocker panels and rust holes (I know, its terrible)
•Passenger door clips
•Fix Power Mirrors

Also forgot to mention she does leak oil, just a little bit everyday, ill have to fix that aswell

Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Default rockers and cab corners

pulled a little redneck fix on the rockers and cab corners (duct tape and bedliner lol) I’d call that a 10 footer, looks normal from 10 feet away

replaced speaker covers on front dash, old ones were cracked and half of it was missing. The new ones were some cheapies off of amazon, the plastic on the bottom was too long so just cut it down so it would clip in correctly.

Well guess i forgot to post on my build thread but here is body work that was finished in november.

Slip on rocker panels along with new metal for fender, and of course bedliner. Goes a long way to make it look like a younger car

Decided to finally deal with the rust spot under gas cap. Spray foamed it and then bondo over top. Not perfect but its good for $30 fix.

Also decided to deal with my visor mirrors. I previously just had the covers held down with lanyards tied to it but I decided to just superglue the lever for the lights down and duct tape over it and leave the covers off. I dont really care much for the lights so not a big deal and now the mirrors are useable.

It's fun to see people working on Blazers and doing repairs to make them better.

FYI, your 'cold air intake' won't have cold air unless it has a shield around the filter to keep the warm engine air out. Otherwise it's pulling warm engine heated air. If you image search "Blazer cold air intake" you'll see lots of examples of shields. Some kits come with them included or it's not that hard to make your own with a bit of sheet metal or even ABS plastic.
