Hi guys! I thought this would be a cool thing to do since there seems to be a few issues with my blazer and also just things I would like to add on to make my blazer even better.

This is my Blazer! It's a 2000, LT, electric everything, sunroof, 4x4 that was taken care of. It only has 109,xxx miles on it, and I put the last 1,000 on it.

When I just turned 17 in 2015, my grandma purchased me a blazer. It was a truck that I wanted (a 4 door for my friends, a 4x4 option and not as bad on gas as most Sierra's or Silverado's) and she found a 95 with the 4.3. If you know anything about the 95 and the 4.3's, you know the engine was shot. I spent the better part of $1700 of my money that I was making at a fast food joint to keep it running, just to wreck it the Sunday after I got it on the previous Friday.

But I remember the wreck, and how even when turned on the passenger side, it was still running. That's when I realized that you can't kill a S10/Blazer. The same year my grandads 99 2.2 s10 literally caught fire on the road, we put it out, and drove it home. Of course he ended up having to rebuild the whole top end of the engine, but the truck sits with well over 250,000 miles and it's running fine.

So, with my promotion at the same fast food joint (now manager, with a bigger pay bump) I bought a 2000 blazer that was better and badder than my 1995. It has a few issues, most notably the fuel hand isn't accurate, the brakes are extremely tight, exhaust a bit loose, and a few odds and ends. The first things that will be posted on here will be when I change the fluids for the 100,000 mile turn over. It's gonna cost a pretty penny, but I'll do what I have to do to keep it running. I've already replaced the rear speakers and Sunday I'm replacing the front speakers. There will be pictures of all of this coming up this Friday and next Sunday, my two days off. Just a few minor tweaks, throwing a new speaker in and new air filter. As you can see, this filter BADLY needed to be changed.

 

Had to change the brake caliper and it looked BAD. It was broken. Never seen one like it. This is the last "maintence" one, as the next one should actually be actual modifications. Let's go!

Mine is far from bad ***, but I have made some changes. You can check it out on my build thread, at least until photo bucket blocks my images.

Looks sick! I started at the beginning (I'm on mobile) so I haven't seen the newer stuff you've changed, last I read was the knock on the driver side. You cool if I message you? Your truck does look a lot like mine and I want mine to look better than now.

Unfortunately due to medical reasons haven't been able to do some of the things I wanted to as quick as I wanted too. A real bad broken shoulder may stop
me from doing mechanical work all together. I might not get back full use of my arm since I can't have a surgery. But nonetheless, I'm going to prove them wrong either way. Going back to school this year when it starts for automotive technician and getting a certification in body work. After that I'll be working in a shop somewhere a lot, so work on this and the s10 will have to be back burner. To update, however, I've replaced a water pump before the winter storm came for us Kentuckians, and also a serpentine belt. Unfortunately the wine came back so I have to look at the pulley's when it warms up enough to get ice off the cars. Here's some plans for the future, just an updated one.

-Have total of 5.5 inches of lift. 2.5 suspension from RC and 3 body from somewhere online. I don't like doing body lifts much, don't want all that frame showing but it'll be better for the engine *wink*
