2000 S-10 Blazer Build In-Progress-Need Advice
 

Hey Yall!, Own a 2000 s-10 Blazer, bought it as a repo, previous owner used it as an Escort Vehicle. Had the vehicle for 2 months and the motor went ( it had 280,000+ miles what does anyone expect). So after 2 months of searching I found the right "W" series motor to put in the vehicle, Now after it comes back from the garage i plan to do some work to it. I already have a decent size brush guard on it that is going to be powder coated. I want to rip off the amber light bar on top and get the original roof rack back on top of it. Now I definitly want to slap a lift on it, BUT!!! I dont know what to look for. already was told not to put a body lift on it cuz the frame sticks out enough but, i dont want to go too high, so i need to find a cheap 2" lift but with no sucess and i also have no idea where to find any rims/tires for a decent price..I live out in the coal regions of Pa so Help me out guys and girls please. ill ppost pics as i go

Welcome to the forum, I have a 2001 s-10 blazer that I'm lifting. To start I would go with a suspension lift, rough country 2in is $450, or if you don't have alot of cash go for a T-bar crank with either shackles or add a leafs. Personaly I'm getting a body lift, from what I've seen the frame doesn't stick out really bad, but thats just my opinion. As for tires and rims, its more of what are you looking at getting. I've found a few sites with decent priced rims and tires but it all depends on what kind your looking for, I go on google and price things around and also see what other sites other members might give you.
