2002 Blazer 4door 4x4
 

So like a lot of others on here I've been a long time reader and I've used BF for my blazer porn for some time.ha I enjoy looking at the build threads and I have been mulling over starting my own for some time. My first "blazer" was a 95 GMC Jimmy 2 door, 2 wheel drive CPI (Gawd I wish I never sold it.) I had that one for 7 almost 8 years, then sold it to a used to be buddy 4 years ago when I bought the 02 blazer, I wanted the 4dr 4wd I do some junior offroading now and then when I wanna have a little fun but nothing crazy and the 4dr for my back seat passengers comfort.

I also replaced the tires with a set of general grabber at2s, I actually like these better than the Goodyear AT KOs I had on my Jimmy. the wet weather and a little mud these "feel" like they grip better.

Ok anyway, let's get to what I have been doing on the current, the short and ugly is I dropped the trans did a full rebuild. Berg Warner clutches, b&m torque converter, alto steels, alto wide band, beast sun shel, blah blah blah. full street strip build with Xl trans cooler added to existing system. Did 8mm summit wires, platinum cap and rotor, acdelco double platinum plugs and accel yellow coil. Just finished the LIM replaced with felpro perma dry gaskets, put jba headers with 2 1/2" exhaust all the way back resonator delete, flowmaster high flow cat, flowmaster super 44 to a stock looking tip, AEM brute force CAI, port polished 75mm throttle body, smooth bore trans dapt TBS.and a hypertech programmer.

As for the stereo a pioneer DEH-X9500BHS, 6 1/2" front and back pioneer 4 ways 75rms, 4x6 3ways in the dash pioneer, Kenwood 600/4 RMS amp, hiphonics Brutus pro 2400 watts, boss 4 farad cap, 2 kicker CompR 12" 800rms 1600peak EACH (Ive had solo xs I like these)in the kicker box. 0 gauge air free copper running everywhere did the big three On my alternator lead and grounds all air free 0gauge, 225 amp powermaster alternator and an optima yellow top.

Ok that's a start I'll add more later, refine and some pics later , but hey it's a start

Hey thanks rexmburns, it feels pretty good right now. I definitely have enough passing power.lol I brake loose 1-2 consistent and chirp 2-3 when I'm on it. It turns a head or two when your cruzing through a parking lot and your tires chirp next to someone while your givin her like 10-15%. haha. have a few more things to do but In the spring I'm going to dino it (most likely) at school so we will see where I post then.

In this last pic the front bar wasn't on yet, didn't think about trying to get the light cast from the bar in.

Hey thanks Tajohn and monster! I appreciate the complements, took me a while to respond I have been out of town and not messin around on the forums much last few days.
The only thing cosmetically flawed Is the driver side rear bumper from a blue ribbon to many and one of them phantom stumps I backed into turning around on a dirt road one night...lol The interior is pretty clean as well. I bought it as a dealer trade in they wanted 5,500 I walked in there with 4,000 and drove it away after pointing out the sunrotted tires, driver seat and coolant leak, its a one owner truck and seems like it was well taken care off. The only issue with interior is the driver seat.. Some one put a freaking race seat in it..lol I always tell people it adds 15 horses but really all it does is bug the hell out of me..


ETA: Oh and trust me I almost always get asked about the seat, everyone looks at my truck there like "Oh DJ its so nice but WTF is with the race seat".. Never fails.HAHA

I even considered hiding my shame under a sheepskin seat cover, ma butt will still know though...

There it is..lol Not a fiberglass bucket but still a pain in my butt. Oh ya should have seen it on day one, when I brought it home I removed the red 4 point harness that was strapped in it.. Gave it to my buddy for his banger, he loves it.. So when I got the truck the seat was kind of a bucket shape, pretty sure my girth flattened that out..
