74 k5 blazer project build

This project has been awhile in the making. I have never posted anything before so I figured why not start. So first thing is, I traded a 93' jeep grand cherokee for my beastly 74. It was kinda beat up and ran ....sort of. It would die every time you came to a stop. I decided I wanted to go with red and black instead of the blue color. First thing I did was gut the interior. I tore everything out, dash and all. I then patched, sanded, grinded, and cleaned the floors. it was tough. My next step was painting the floors with rustoleum then covering that with bed liner. I then sanded and painted the metal parts of the dashl and patched the dash pad with fiberglass then painted it black. That was very very tough. I do not recomend patching the dash pad. It was trial and error and took forever to get the cracks not to show. I then installed a cup holder thing in the middle and painted the seat brackets. I put in a new 4x4 shift knob and boot. Put on a new steering wheel, turn signal knob and shifter. I painted the column. Painted the instrument panel and put on white gauges. I also installed red bulbs behind for a red glow. The column shifter was a pain. I had to grind the new chrome one to fit. I also cut the pedals which was actually pretty hard cause I had to use a jig saw through that thick metal. I took off the doors and painted the doors and panels. I cut the door locks so they did not stick so high up and I bought a rear floor mat. I now am in th process of tearing apart the engine to begine the rebuild. Its a 68 327 with 2.02 camel humpers. Any suggestions?

Great job on the interior man. I am starting the same process. What kind of bedliner did you use? I have heard the raptor stuff is pretty descent.

I used the herculiner. It was actually in the pile of junk inside the vehicle. Two cans of it, so I was pretty excited! It was ok though, It came out kinda bumpy so I think I am going to have to put vinyl flooring over that.
