I have slowly been rebuilding my DD. Its a 92 K1500. Last week did a engine swap. Switched to carb. Plans for the truck are to do the body work new interior and a sas. It has been slow going being as this is a dd and unsteady work. Here are a few pics.

Thanks. Anyone have any experience setting the tv cable on a 700r4? I have searched online annd found info but it seems way off as compared to prior to swap. Trans slams into gear unless you have you foot in it. Any ideas?

Well Still working out the bugs in the swap. I was out driving it down the highway today and heard a snap. Looked in the rearveiw mirror saw a black chunk of something. pull over and have no powersteering. Thought it chunked the belt no biggie. pop the hood and the bolts holding the fan and pulley on the water pump sheared off. Threw the fan down into the skid pan. Lucked out only victims where the fan and shroud. No better time to switch over to a 16" electric fan.
I am running a stock in tank fuel pump with a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I am having touble trying get the fittings seal. I have tried teflon tape, pipe dope, and both together. Also tried different fittings. Any ideas? it seeps a small amount. Take a towel under the fittings and makes a dime size spot when running.
I am still having some issues with the tv cable. I have the holley bracket on it so i should have the right geometry. Collapsed the adjuster all the way then Wot. I did hear 2 clicks. i always disconnected the linkage and can feel that it is still hooked in on the trans side. If i have the throttle just slighty cracked it will slam into gear on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. but if i am going from a dead stop to say 50 and have the throttle opened up more it shifts just fine. any ideas? Not that it should matter but i put a new cable on it and filter change with a new deep 3 quart plus pan. Could i be sucking air through the the trans filter?
I will take some pics tomorrow of the tv cable setup.

Iwonder if the trans you are running has a shift kit in it. My old V8 dime had one, and she pounded the 1-2 and 2-3 not matter what throttle input.
