The struggle is real! Took this last week of of work to celebrate the wife's 40th birthday. We jump in the blazer Tuesday morning to make a 140 mile drive to go and see some of her friends and have a romantic night away from home. 10 miles from home the trans cooler line popped out of the transmission. I made a call and got it towed home. We get in my tahoe and go on with our trip. So Friday I haul it into the shop and change the line and fitting in the transmission, fill it up with fluid and test drive it. My fears were confirmed, no 3rd or 4th gear. So ordered a rebuild kit and looking for a good used transmission again. Seriously thinking of doing a manual 5 speed swap.

 

Well wish me luck! As I suspected 3-4 clutches are gone. Rebuild kit ordered. I think I'm going to try and piece this one back together with parts out of another transmission and rebuild one of the other 4l60e I have laying around.
