Amos's 98 build. (in progress)

Step 1. Planning.
Okay. I was Going to do a 6" IFS but I've heard some things about bearings and all sorts of things wearing down over time because of the angle the the whole thing is one or whatever.
So I looked into SAS. Apparently, you may be able to get one far cheaper than it costs for a IFS lift.
So then, I've got looking around, found a Solid Axle hanger kit, leafs for the front and all that.
All ordered up (I'm just going to get all the parts before installing)
So all i needed was front axle and a back axle (because the back axle apparently isn't strong enough)
I found a Ford Dana 44 off of a 76 Bronco (disk breaks) geared a 3.50
and a ford 9" rear end off of a 60's Bronco. Geared to 4.10. All good Diffs (So i've heard).
Obviously, they have to be geared the same and I'm trying to work on that. I cant seem to find 4.10 for the front Dana 44, which is a problem.
Regradless, thats the plan.
Hopefully looking to put 35's and maybe if i can get enough lift 37's on it.
Its going to be a mud truck for sure.
its just getting its engine swapped for another 4.3 and its tranny swapped.
Thats the plan. Money is tight so im guessing ill be done around February.

sounds like a plan....You should do a build thread during the whole process i think alot of people would follow it..
