Carricos Tiny Blazer
Well you all know I have a monster SAS Blazer but here is my other one i recently picked up. My little brother got my DD and I got this for a steal. Its also a 5 speed, which I am learning on as we speak, so if anyone has a 5speed let me know how you like it. I say its more fun. :icon_special:
Anyways: 4x4 (doesnt work, think its just the switch) 5speed 4.3l, 4l60e two door, Black Has an ugly green bowtie and has horribly done nightshade tint on turns and rear lights, which i will swap for my other blazers bc people cant see the lights. As well as the ugly green bowtie, the dude or chick who had it colored (no not painted) like colored with crayons, the interior, the overhead dome light, the shifter, the bowtie on the steering wheel and more. I dont have pictures on me now but will upload tomorrow. The interior is ok, its just trashed because of myself. So here is what im doing/done New air and fuel filter. Thats about it from me :icon_goodpost: I am going to lower the rear about 2" with just simple blocks, new shocks all the way around and rims/tires. I would like 17-20s looking from something simple that is black, but would take a nice chrome. No specific tire in mind. It also had a hitch on it which i will move to my lifted blazer. Ill fix the 4x4, but wouldnt mind to make it awd if anyone has that info. There is a vaccum leak as well which is making it throw a p0171 code, iirc, but there is a random piece in the engine bay that is gone. Ill get a picture later. the code comes and goes, but it maybe the MAF as well, ill take it from my other blazer and find out. Im going to add subs as well later on when money comes, either a nice 12" or two 10"s again. something simple, used alpine type Rs or something cheaper. It already has speakers in it, and ill have to swap radios. Good news, it has a horn! :icon_woot:my DD didnt have one at all. Wouldn't mind projector headlights/taillights but ill have to look for something cheap. And also, exhaust, once i get the hang of the 5speed and not killing it left and right and being able to shift better, i would like a 3" exhaust from headers back, going with a magnaflow system maybe DIDO or just a SISO with a straight thru muffler. I dont like my flowmaster as much anymore. But thats my story and ill have pictures up later. School starts next week for me again :icon_iamwithstupid:so time on both of these moneyhookers is limited. Hopefully though, my SAS blazer is done in a few weeks. |

not the flashlight fyi, the item to the right of the red power wire is what i am asking, what would that be? looks like piping etc
and for the lowered people, im using blocks, my best option would be cast iron or steel blocks not the aluminum correct? |
I wouldnt mine doing something like this, but at the same time i would want it to be AWD. bumper and flares will set me back 100$ if i can get them at the jy. AWD would be 350-500$ or so

Seems like its gonna be a fun build. I always heard 3" was a lot for our NA motors. How does it sound though? JBA offers a 3" cat back but couldn't find a good sound clip.
That looks like it might go to an air injection pump maybe? I checked my engine bay and there isn't anything like that there lol. 4.3 5 speed is awesome gonna be a blast driving it! |
Air pump is gone, should be easier to do plugs, especially if you get rid if the tubes in the manifolds or add headers.

pump wasnt gone just the tubing of it, pump might be bad though so ill swap that out with another. Still is throwing the same code however.
Adam i have read many things on exhaust from many sites, if its 3" single out in a single muffler i would believe it to be fine, dual exhaust wouldn't be. I looked up the jba exhaust but i think later on ill have the same people who did the exhaust on my lifted blazer do one on this, probably run 2.5" piping, and ill see what they say about 3" in all its just better flow really. I believe my first s10 had 3" and it was a kit from summit. thing was loud but sounded really good. Right now i cant really do anything to this truck since im going to send my pcm from my lifted blazer in and have things switched on it and buy a front driveshaft for that later. so this will have to go on the back burner for a bit. |
