So, late in 2014 I was towing my 16' fishing bolt and felt it slip then grab a couple of times then the noise started in the rear. Threw a piece of the pinion gear out through the housing. Went to the bone yard and picked up a new axle. Had it sand blasted, painted it, tore it down, and installed new bearings.
