Spectreblazer 02-08-2010 07:59 PM

i think you mean rough country, those shocks don't look rancho.

Dbam31 02-08-2010 09:23 PM

HAHAHA

geez

yep i ment rough country.
wow :icon_doh:
i feel dumb

gonna change that rite now.

Spectreblazer 02-08-2010 09:25 PM

you really only need one part out of that kit to achieve the 2" lift you know?

Dbam31 02-08-2010 09:30 PM

yah the shackles

and while i wanted the cheap lift.

I decided to go with something that would give me new parts, to replace the old worn stock parts.

As an extra precaution, I want this truck to last awhile without blowing out parts all the time. So I figured it would pay off in the long run.
And I got a good deal IMOP.

Spectreblazer 02-08-2010 09:33 PM

yeah i was wondering if you knew about the shackels or not. good to know, those keys are still not going to solve your cv and balljoint issues though. any ifs lift you're gonna run into problems. just don't crank those t-bars to high. i'd only go 1.5" maximum, the keys should be indexed too.

Dbam31 02-08-2010 09:37 PM

yah i wont go higher than a 1.5"

I just wanted a bit more higher profile, and enough to get my 30's on it.
You know for the record, how would I solve the joint wear out problem? And please don't a BL...:icon_no:
Like if I wanted to do a 4" or 6" (which I might do in the future). How would these problems be solved? Or would they be the same?

I also didn't understand the new keys...are they different from the stock? Thats the only thing I didn't understand why it came with the kit?

there the same they just can charge you more(keys), you want to go bigger you would have to do an straight axle conversion. i considered doing it on mine. its easier just to go buy and old straight axle truck and start with that then hacking your blazer apart. thats what i did, got an old k5, i like the lifted look thought.

yah, too much work for me, high school then college SOON.
haha, thats why i just got the 2" kit.
(btw, so ur saying I could just pass installing the keys? Because I really dont want to take out the old ones, to much work)

Anyways my blazer is just my commuter, once i get my jeep fixed or get a new one, that will be my project(lifter).

Thanks for you input :)

Be updating as I put the lift together, as I have to do it in autoshop, so it will take a couple days :icon_shrug:
