so i finally purchased my flowmaster 40 series muffler, should get it in a couple days, cant wait! :D

Can i get some input on piping?

i was thinking of either dumping it right after the muffler(cuz its louder)
or
out the side in front of the rear right tire (for style)

im wondering if i would loose power from lack of backpressure
if any if dumping after muffler?
And if any one has there dumped out the side and there opinion
on it located there(and if u have pics?)

Probly wont get a chance to get it put on til next week, but

Mines dumped right before the rear axle. I dont mind it the girlfriend hates it.... Go figure. Backpressure hasnt been an issue and I have a super 40 with a magnaflow hi-flow cat.

i make my wife drive most of the time(cuz her car gets a lil better mpg)
so i can have it as loud as i want :D, was thinking of dumping it after the
muffler but i thought it wouldnt sound as clean, i want a nice rumble and not too raspsy.

anyone got good suggestion on piping setup/size/location
to get a sound similar to a mustang/camaro:icon_redcam:. .
a lil musclar sound :icon_shrug: if possible with this V6

this is what im contemplating, what u guys think?

I say behind the rear . Some Inspection stations could bust your nuts for having it before the rear end and by the door

IMO mine is "throaty" and is clean. Granted at higher RPMs of course it sounds like a v6 but hey I gotta v6 so ya know! It's just louder than some like because of where it exits at.

you have it dumped straight down to the floor or is it slanted a bit
so the sound doesnt bounce off the floor back into the cab?

On another note. .ima have to take off my intake for a bit and put
the factory box back in cuz i got my smog notice today:icon_sad:
gotta let it ajust back to the stock settings to pass,Dam California Smog Requirements:mad:

decided what im going with as in location, got all week to think about it though.
