I guess that all depends on what you use it for.

Nice 2001 LT. I have one too! Bottom line... enjoy it! What is your fuel mileage?

I've been getting only 13mpg combined driving as easy as I can. Stock configuration 2001 LT that is new to me. This is why I asked.

I have no idea how I am getting such good MPG lately. Maybe it is my new tires.

Rww 10-11-2014 09:51 AM

I have 31" General Grabber AT2's on some heavy weight D-Window wheels with quite an offset and I get about the same gas mileage as Rex with his monster truck... 9-10 average, when I drive down the mountain to go home though I can usually coast enough to get 14mpg! Haha! Coming back is a whole other story though... Stock 3.42 gearing.

Might want to consider looking for an axle & front diff swap to get 3.73 gears. I find with 31's the truck drives way better with the 3.73 than it did with the original 3.42's. You'll probably find that your fuel mileage goes up, especially if you do a lot of driving around hills & mountains.

(Generally old tires with proper inflation get better mpg)
