Today I managed to get the front axle put together enough so that I can put some wheels on it and role it under the truck and be at a point where I can take out the IFS stuff and leave it sitting as an officially SAS'd blazer:)

I also cut out the hangers and moved them forward 3/4" and down a 1/4". I am out of time today to do anything else but I will have help on Monday so I hope to get this font end under there to check out the shackle angles and make sure they will be good to go where they are. I also really need to get my tires mounted but I have just been way to lazy to take them to my buddy to do for me:(

lol. My wife and I are in a similar situation. I'm 6'3" she's 5'2". She doesn't like getting in and out of my truck because of the height, while it's the perfect height for me.

same here, 6'7" and 5'5"-6" ish. She complains about the blazer being too tall already too. I'm hoping once (if lol) the sliders get installed she'll stop complaining so much since she'll have a step

Yeah I plan to finish out my sliders once this is finished so there will be a good step there as well.

Thanks to help from a coworker I was able to make it an officiall SFA Blazer today! I have a ton left to do and some tweeks to make but its sitting on its own weight.

That thing is going to be a MONSTER!! I've been seriously looking at doing an sfa since my front end cant seem to hold itself together and I need the reliability. I was looking at D30s though to maintain a similar width, plus I dont ever want to go over 33s of 34s on my truck in the future so I think a 30 would be fine! But I'm not entirely sure! Still researching and hoping that this summer I'll be able to make it happen! Finding axles and doing it for a decent price is going to be my main goal.. like under $1500 but closer to $1000 max. I'm trying to go to university for four years and not drown in loans! Haha. But this build is most definitely one hell of an inspiration and idea bank!!

Thanks man! Just keep planning till you decide your route and then start slowly collecting parts as you find them cheap and you can stay within a pretty reasonable budget. Mine got out of control with all the new stuff I bought
like brakes, gears, and springs but my family is going to be in this thing so good brakes are a must! You should also look at a waggy 44 front and a rodeo 44 rear. They are cheap easy to find and will be the width you are wanting. There are a few builds using similar combos pm me if you want and I can send you a couple links to check out.
