Wow 49" - almost as tall as me!!

Jeesh, seems the north has taken over VA - we have all those same taxes and fees in MA ...

Picked this up just becasue I could lol! I got it for $60 so I think it was a good deal. It's small but will allow some onboard air until I can get a larger setup later.

Can you post up some pictures of your shackles in the front? I would like to see how you have it welded up and maybe measure off some key points for mounting the hanger.

Sure! For my measurment I used the body mount bolt and a straight edge and mounted the top hole of the hanger 3/4' forward of the body mount bolt. I think 1" would be fine as well but I'm not redoing it. The hangers look like hell at the moment from hacking them up to fit properly but I will clean up the look a bit when I finish burning them in. You will have to trim off the front of the hanger and a bit on the back as well to get it to sit straight on the frame with the bend and all but it seems to have worked out pretty well for me.

.

The hanger appears to be angled but thats just the pic I made sure they were level before tacking them on.

Sorry the pic kinda sucks with the light behind it. I'll try and get a better one later when the sun is on the other side of the truck.

Well I got some work done today and realized I still have a lot more to do lol!! The big hurdle is done and its sitting on all four 37's tho.
I will have to play with my spring packs and get the front down a bit and the rear up a bit and it should level out decently. I figure I will pull a leaf from the front packs and put it in the rear. My thought was to pull the 2nd or 3rd leaf from the front anybody think differently? I have never messed around with spring packs before so I am just going from what I think I remember seeing lol! I will also need to flip the rears around to move the axle forward a bit but that can be done at the same time I add a leaf to it. Right now it is a stock s10 pack with the short leaf cut (they were like this when I got them).
Out with the old!

In with the new! The axle is to far back and the dshaft is to short so thats an easy fix.

And here it is!

I also really need to paint the rear wheels the mismatch is bad for my OCD! I've got a ton of work left but I can chip away a little at a time and hopefully get it drivable in a few weeks.

I think once I flip the rear springs end for end and put the extra leaf in there I will have plenty of clearance.... I hope! I'll buy new springs before I put blocks in the back tho. I just don't like them at all lol!

You know, once you move a leaf from front to back like you're saying and put a custom steel bumper on there it will probably level out very nicely. It's gonna be really tall, but nothing a step on the slider won't help with. Liking the progress Rex. Great work.
