i got this truck on craigslist its a 1986 s10 tahoe 4x4 truck they put a 96 blazer motor an tranny in it with 2.8l tbi an automatic, having major problems, got it running but now when u rev it up it just chokes an dies, and if you put it in drive it dies, and also there no reverse???? trys to move into reverse but just will not go, no grinding or noise an tranny fluid level is normal and not burnt. any help???

2.8 didnt come in a 96' they were all 4.3's by then in the blazers. You just have a 2.8 out of a early 90's s10 or s10 blazer.

see thats what i thought when i googled that but the motor has the stamp from the junkyard as a 96 blazer lol but either way i need to figure out what the heck is going on. possible vacum leak or any idies?
