Exclamation POLL: YOU decide how it's built!! ***PROJECT Red Devil***

Alright guys here is the deal... I don't know right off hand why I had this idea but here it goes . I have a very stock 1998 Blazer. I know many have in essence done this before but I want this build to be in a sense "giving back" to the forum. I want everything that goes on this truck to be decided by the blazerforum users. I will of course be doing all of the work but given that there is a lot of things that I don't know (newb) I may need help on certain things.. Overall though my plan is (with moderator help) that I will have a poll on each subject of the build, engine,suspension,interior..etc.. Off of these topics I will look at different sub categories and provide a "POLL" of this for you to decide how that sub-category will be modded. Of course seeing that this truck and everything put on it will come out of my pocket I will prescreen and select 3-5 options out of each category that I am comfortable with and able to actually afford then go from there.. Of course if there is anyone out there with something layin around collectin dust just PM me an see what we can work out. Hope everyone ACTUALLY RESPONDS to this and we can all in the end see a Rig that everyone can say they had part in!! PM me with any specific related questions.

Here is your stock 1998 Blazer 4 Door LS 4x4 / 4.3L Vortec
you got to work with so start thinkin...

I dont think it's a bad idea. My first thought is CAI and exhaust, PCM, and 3.73's. We do need to know how extreme you're looking to go and what kind of budget we're looking at.

Don't forget SAS.

You should probably start with what you want to have this truck do in the end because you will be spending your hard earned money on it. It should do what you want in the end.

If your going with a lift, you could get cragar wheels, if not, paint those black things on the wheels the color of your truck

Default great response...

alright here is what I wanna do. i want the truck to be offroad capable and still able to be a family vehicle of sorts. Don't want the thing 4 foot off the ground or nothing like that. The budget of course just depends on when I can get the money. I guess you can say that I am lucky seeing that not all my monthly earnings actually need to be used on bills so roughly about 300-400 a month mayble a lil more but all depends. I wanna start off SMALL with the cheapest things first and then work up to the more expensive ie: the body lift THEN "6" suspension... I'd like to have a 3-4" suspension with 2"body on it, runnin some 33's (if that fits right). wanna have it nice...

thanks.

Your only option to go above 2" suspension lift (really only 1.5" safely) is to jump to the 5" or 6" lift kits that are available... And you won't fit 33's without going with one of those suspension lift kits unless you are willing to start cutting/beating on the body.

i may need to stick with some smaller tires then like 32's or just 31. who knows i am still in the whole design idea process. Here within a few days I am going to get a list together and a sketch drawn up of everything that i wanna do on this truck. With those 33's however about how much bangin around on this truck do you think i will be doing?
