xgiovannix12 03-14-2012 12:06 AM

sure are you mounting the lights upper like snow plow lights or lower ?

are you still going to put some by the windshield ?

Blazer_LT 03-14-2012 12:08 AM

looking good. those are in an interesting spot

97cherryblazer 03-14-2012 12:13 AM

thnx LT and cherry, 31 not sure about and lift definatly and idk about the windshield idea...maybe later on

**EDIT**
these are NOT the lights ill be putting on...the ones im puttin on are going to be rec. ((post #2))

Blazer_LT 03-14-2012 01:08 AM

have to say that those, even though they are not permanently on there, look good. why arent those staying on

xgiovannix12 03-14-2012 01:08 AM

They dont look bad at all

they look like plow lights =P

Blazer_LT 03-14-2012 01:10 AM

they do look like the lights i see on plows around here. for sure a unique way to mount them. maybe that will be a new 1st gen trend

Maestro 03-14-2012 01:22 AM

lol id love to be a trend setter....and those arent staying cuz my dad has made it clear that those are his lol...ill get holes drilled and lights atleast mounted tomorrow hopefully wired too

Blazer_LT 03-14-2012 01:24 AM

what lights are you gunna put on. i didnt beleive the hype about the harbor freight lights being good lights but they are amazing. and for ten bucks you cant beat it

Maestro 03-14-2012 01:33 AM

wat im puttin on is called "platinum burner series" ((got em from walmart)) 2 lights and a wiring kit for 27$.....~7x4 and 55w

got em mounted to the brackets just need to bolt up the brackets to the frame and need to run wired

and trying to drill thru that with a cordless drill with a low battery is aggervating

Blazer_LT 03-14-2012 08:08 PM

i think that those match your truck better than the rounded ones.

Maestro 03-14-2012 10:41 PM

yeah...matches the boxy look of....well pretty much everything on it haha

richphotos 03-15-2012 08:59 PM

Maestro 03-15-2012 11:27 PM

xgiovannix12 03-18-2012 12:30 AM

Looks real good .. are they wired with relays ?

Maestro 03-18-2012 10:35 AM

no sadly...but still work and look great.....the wiring kit only came with wires and a switch...but ill probly pick up a relay and retro fit it in

Maestro 03-19-2012 09:55 PM

okay now that we got her lit up...need to tackle the dreaded fuel issues....

like most of yall know, the fuel gauge is stuck at over-full...thinking i might have to drop the tank...((again)) and replace the sending unit

ive had the tank off before and the float moved just fine so the float itself isnt stuck or anything

any suggestions before i drop the accursed tank and aimlessly throw money at it? haha

xgiovannix12 03-19-2012 10:21 PM

fuel gage says empty because i have no fuel, who now gio i think you are defying the laws of common sense with that one

Thogert 03-20-2012 12:20 AM

Hahaha, oh man. The fact that it says it in the manual means they had to explain it to somebody....

Druidic 03-20-2012 02:28 AM

One thing I learned in the Navy, a lot of the "stupid" comments, guidelines, et cetera are written in blood, because someone WAS stupid enough to need it... myself included at times lol

Maestro 03-20-2012 09:38 AM

haha

so you're out of gas?....:icon_rtfm:

Maestro 03-20-2012 12:53 PM

diagnosis complete...sadly it is the sending unit...thus another tank drop is near....this would make the 2nd on this blazer....5th or so all together....

:icon_woot:so excited...:icon_no:

TheRandom1 03-20-2012 01:39 PM

At least it's good practice?

Maestro 03-20-2012 04:06 PM

ehh i guess u could say that....but this time i think ima put a trapdoor access panel so i dont have to squeeze between the tank and the frame to unhook the lines....or heck i may just lift the body and try to get it that way haha
