RC 2.5 Lift???
I plan on putting a lift on my blazer this summer, its the 4 door 4x4. I only want 5-6 inches but not as a whole lift, I plan on doing the 2 or 3 inch body lift and a 3 inch suspension lift. I know you can do up to 3 inches with new torsion bar keys, but it also puts stress on components such as the ball joints and CV shafts. I think I have 2 options for the suspension lift. 1.) get this get from rough country
Chevy / GMC Suspension Lift or 2.) buy torsion keys from eBay ($50) and I already have shackles and get ball joint spacers to reduce the wear on them (the top ones anyway). Which one should I do? If all else fails I'll just do the 2-3 inch body lift and maybe do a torsion crank. Point is will the ball joint spacers substitute for the new control arms from the actual kit? I know I will have to get new shocks, just trying to compare prices and save a little bit. |

It already sits quite high but it will be even higher after the tires. |
How much do you have the t-bars cranked to? Have any problems with anything wearing out??? Thanks for the tire link I was wondering where I could get some decent tires without breaking the bank

OK thanks, do the lower and upper wear evenly? I imagine the ball joint spacers will help as if the RC upper control arms would. I dont plan on doing much wheeling I just need a taller ride for all the snow we get where I am. Once I get enough saved up hopefully by next year I will do a solid axle swap.

I replaced them both at the same time so not sure which will wear out first.
