The Rookie Jimmy Experience

:icon_speaker1:Hey so starting up my build here and see how it goes. installed the cold air so far and am currently working on the sound system.

Hopefully it works ok down half the wiring and build a box that will cover the entire back end so when the seats fold down can still have a flat surface to lie stuff on.

ill post picks tonight of my first time wiring job

stay tuned hopefully exciting build I'm sure it will have some funny mistakes along the way too:icon_speaker1:

Lotsa work.. Good luck and thanks for posting pics..

I'm sure it will turn out to be what you want.. If not right away, in the end anyway ;-)

MTopper 05-16-2011 12:23 AM

so you plan on mounting your amp on the roof of the truck? is that how i'm reading it or am i completely off?

2000jim 05-16-2011 09:45 AM

yeah exactly im going to take the handles and cloth hanger hooks off and get some longer bolts for them and then make a railing that will attach to all the handles and that way i can mount the amp to the roof.
i thought it would be a cool look when its mounted and the lights on it are on

MTopper 05-16-2011 01:24 PM

it is a cool concept. you just have to make sure that they don't shake anymore than need be and also that wires don't come loose while powered up.

2000jim 05-16-2011 01:45 PM

yeah exactly,

i was able to get a really good deal on an amp too, its fan cooled so shouldnt have any problems on the roof

ill be starting the box and mount this weekend at the latest after i do the power wiring

2000jim 05-16-2011 02:15 PM
