s10 hybrid

Hello everyone. After i went to the mud hole here in florida i had the itch.Pick up 1980 k5 with blown engine and rotted body sitting on 38s.I stroked out a 350 i had in the garage stuck it in the truck with new clutch[sm465] trans.205 case, factory 10&12 bolt with 373 gears.Removed the blocks in rear and did offroad shackle brackets.Replaced the front springs and bushings front and back, shocks also.Well took the k5 to the mud hole it did ok but would rather have automatic .Seen alot of custom air boxes to prevent mud from getting suck in.While i was there there was a s10 going threw some deep **** went over to the guy and he told me it was a 81 k5 frame i knew i had to do it.I took pics of my progress from the beginning so let me know what you think...Like to add i read Tank's post many times,it help alot.

Why not get yourself a Photobucket/Imageshack/etc account and upload them there. Much easier to share!

Looks like an interesting project.

Here is the 2000 s10 cab coming off the s10 frame and onto dollies as you can see i used a cherry picker to take off and put on the cab.also a pic of a hole in the 2.2 block exposing the bent connecting rod..
