Default Skid Plate Build

I pray this is the right place.

I plan to build a skid plate for my 95 blazer. Does anyone happen to have a schematic or diagram of one before I go at it?

Any help is appreciated.

you still haven't specified if it's the oil pan or front skid plate yet.

if you already have one, why are you making a new one?............oh, are you one of the unlucky ones that have those crapy plastic SP on your truck?

if that's the case, then just copy it like you were thinking.

I was hoping to see pictures of your home made one.

Post them up when you get a chance.

There are three skid plates for the S10 Blazers from the factory.
The one your referring to isn't really a skid plate per say, its main function is to control air movement through the engine compartment. Without it your engine will run hotter, and your mpg will drop. It does stop water and mud from splashing up onto your pulleys and fan blade thus stopping it from being flung everywhere under the hood. However it provides no structural support, as in skidding or sliding over obsticals in the trail.

Teh second skid plate protects the oil pan and tranny bell housing. The third skid plate protects the t-case. Most push button 4x4 trucks have at least the mini version of the t-case skid plate which protects only wiring/hose under the t-case.

I still want to see pics when you get it made. You going to use Stainless Steel?
