So I have a few things that need to be addressed first before I start really diving in head first but here is a project I'll be working on the next few days and ill keep you all posted with pictures as I take them. Here is a teaser, I want to see how many of you might know what I'll be doing.

Building a cargo rack for the top? I just picked up my supplies to start one.

for a Blazer or S10?

cargo rack is a good guess for a blazer, I'll go with that too.

if it's for a S10, I'd guess a canvas bed cap

WINNER!:icon_trophy::icon_clapclap:
what did that set you back and do you have a 2 door or 4 door?

HostileJava 07-30-2013 09:40 PM

Home Depot - $25. I have a friend with a bender already. It's for a 4 door. If you get to yours first I'd love to see some step by step pics.

That's not too bad. What size are you making it out of? 3/4 I'm guessing with that price. What are your dimensions going to be?

3/4 for the frame and 1/2 for the supports on the bottom and sides. I'm not sure exactly how big i'm making it yet, I do want to make it so that my current cargo carrier (x-cargo) will fit in it so that I don't have to remove it for camping and I also wanted to make the bottom longer then the top and put a peice of some sort of metal sweeping back on the front to meet the shorter top frame to aid in reducing wind resistance if that makes sense.

I follow you completely. This is what I'm building mine off of. I found it on another 4x4 forum before I discovered this awesome forum!
