swaping t-cases
 
hi guys I have a 236 in my 1999 blazer I'm doing a solid axle swap so does any body know if I can swap it with a 233 trying to keep the on dash 4 button. thanks guys.

You can swap them out. Keeping the pushbutton shift is another story though. The tccm is different as well as the wiring. the ecu would likely have to be reprogrammed as well. The 4 button wouldnt work anyway since the 233 isnt a 4 button case. I'm sure swapping to 3 button could be done, but it would be an insane amount of wiring and research- especially since you would go thru all that work just to maintain an already problematic system.

What I did when I swapped to the 233 is removed the encoder motor and shift mine manually. There is a shift shaft that is pretty accessible to attach a lever onto and use as a floor shift.
