I try to do this on my 00 blazer but the write up i found showes that i need to tap in to the OBDII for the yellow wire but when I do that the security lights up on the dash and the truck wont fire up. how did you do it?

Edit: Well the pin i was using had a different wiring pattern. i switched the pin and now it works.
